20. The Lumberjack’s Discovery
A Lumberjack first discovered the cage of the animal in Leicester, Massachusetts. It had been left sitting in a clearing, with a bag of food beside it and a single can of dog food on top. The cage was left closed so there was no way for the abandoned animal inside to release itself, find food, or even escape the heat. When the lumberjack looked inside, he saw the heartbreaking sight of an abandoned puppy in a very distressing condition.
