11. The Stray Dog Crisis
The number of strays in Greece are at crisis levels, as many animal facilities have gotten completely overrun with homeless dogs and don’t have the necessary amount of resources needed to care for the animals. Many can only do so much, so vaccinating the dogs for rabies is the number one priority, as they are considered a public health risk. Some clinics offer euthanasia as an option if it seems to be the point of no return for a sick or malnourished dog, but that is the last resort and Tori wasn’t even thinking of it.
